INDUSTRIAL MINERALS

Minerals influence nearly every sector of our lives even though they are hardly evident from a surface point of view. In the processed form, minerals are used as functional additives in different applications: in food stuff and in the farming sector as well as in pharmaceutics, cosmetics, cleansing and filtering agents, and in large quantities of paints, building materials, paper, plastics, electronics, metal production, glass, ceramics, etc. They are often used also as decisive processing additives even in the environmental protection (for example, for waste water treatment or smoke desulphurization).
